Blackburn Amateur Swimming Club was founded in 1878.
On its Centenary the Club name was changed to its current name
Blackburn Centurions Amateur Swimming Club.
The Club was founded to provide instruction in the art of Swimming
and Water Polo, which have seen many successes over the years to
International level at both disciplines.
The aim of the Club is to provide the instruction and facilities for each
child to reach their full potential, whether at School Gala, Local Club,
Age Group, National or International level.
All teaching and coaching for both Swimming and Water Polo is provided
by voluntary ASA qualified Teachers and Coaches, who offer their time
for the benefit of the children and Club as a whole.
Administrative duties, organization
of Galas and other vital functions of the Club are executed by volunteers
whose support and commitment is second to none.
