Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on

Sunday 14^th January 2007= @

Fulwood Leisure Centre, Preston.

Present: Mr D Bradley (Chairman); Mr = S. Heaps (Secretary); Mrs S Lawlor (Treasurer); Mr= M Jones (Registration Secretary); + 37 delegates from member clubs.

1.&n= bsp; = ; = Apologies: No apologies were received.

2.&n= bsp; = ; = Teams joining the League: Blackpool put a written request to jo= in the league. The league welcomes Blackpool B Team who start life in Division C of the league.

3.&n= bsp; = ; = Minutes of the 2006 Annual General Meeting: Copies were distributed to all delegates prior to AGM via email.

4.&n= bsp; = ; = Matters Arising fro= m 2006 Minutes: No matters aris= ing from those minutes.

5. &n= bsp; = Chairman’s Re= port: Nothing to report.<= /p>

6.&n= bsp; = ; = Treasurer’s R= eport: A copy of the accounts was distributed to all members. (see attached sheet) The Treasurer explained th= at the £700.00 surplus was for the non payment of the pools for West View for the division B & C swim offs & Palatine<= /st1:place> for the Northern area final. A short discussion then took place regarding profits made from Northern Final. It was agreed that the league should hold onto this money until an invoice had been received from West View & Palatine.

8.&n= bsp; = ; = Election of Officers: Standing down this year is the Chairman, Secre= tary & Treasurer. The duty roster comes into play & the next 3 cl= ubs on the list will take up these vacant positions.

Proposed Rule Changes

M= ick Jones (Clitheroe) proposed a couple of rule changes; (sent out via email be= fore AGM) Mick explained his reasoning behind the proposed changes to the meetin= g. A short discussion took place on this matter and after a vote it was decided = to keep the rules as they currently stand.

    National AGM & Micro-League Programme

C= herry Wilkinson (Colne) attended the National AGM for our leagues behalf in Novem= ber 2006, Cherry gave a brief talk to all delegates regard= ing the decision taken to change the Age of competition for swimmers. As from t= he beginning of 2007 the age will be as at last day of competition (i.e. The National Final), not age as at 31/12/??. It was decided that we had to bring our rules in line with the National Committee.= The rules will be changed to reflect this important date and the Secretary is to ask the National Secretary for help & guidance in ensuring the rules are written correctly.

T= he programme of events shall remain the same in 2007 however which ever team progresses through to the Northern Area Final shall be aware that 10 yr olds will have to swim 50M Butterfly & NOT 25M.

T= he 2007 Northern Area Final will be held at The Hydro, Harro= gate on Sunday 07 October 2007.

T= he National Final will be held at Wolverhampton Central Baths, Wolverhampton on Sunday 25 November 2007.
